Raw London has been nominated for 2 awards at EVCOM Industry Awards 2018; Most Effective Use of Video Content in Digital Campaigns and EVCOM Industry Award for Excellence in Charity or Not-for-Profit. You can see the full list of nominees here.

EVCOM Industry Awards is the only awards platform that recognises excellence in both craft and communications across the live, screen and digital communities. We are proud to have won 10 EVCOM awards in previous years, including Clarion Film of the Year for Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services and Platinum Winner of Winners for The Royal British Legion.

This film, #EscapeRobot produced for War Child UK earlier this year, challenges the conversation around the mental health and wellbeing of children affected by war. It follows a small robot struggling to fit into everyday life; failing to bond with its mother, being withdrawn and struggling to make friends at school, having problems with studying and suffering from flashbacks of traumatic memories in a war zone. The story concludes as a button on the robot’s suit is pushed, causing the metal armour to fall away and revealing a child inside.

The film achieved almost 2 million views in just 3 months and responses were universally positive – from thought leaders, MPs, celebrities, creatives and audiences. Multiple influencers shared the film, including politicians and high-profile celebrities such as Paul McCartney, Ed Sheeran and Craig David.

Winners will be announced by EVCOM on 30th November at Tobacco Dock. You can read more about the event or book tickets to attend here.
