War Child UK’s #EscapeRobot, produced by Raw London, is among the winners at Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards 2018. Whether the film won Gold, Silver or the Grand Prix will be revealed during the Awards Gala Dinner on September 27th, 2018 at the Palm Beach Cannes. It features in the Fundraising, Non-profit, CSR category.
Raw London has won the Silver Dolphin in 2016 and 2017, making this the third winning year in a row. Previous winners include What is VJ Day? for The Royal British Legion and Control for Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services.
This year’s campaign highlights the strain that conflict can have on the mental health of children who have been affected by war, long after they have left the actual war zone. It is part of War Child’s wider work prioritising the provision of mental health and psychosocial services for children affected by conflict, and their communities.
The film has also recently been nominated in 2 categories at the EVCOM Industry Awards 2018, including Most Effective Use of Video Content in Digital Campaigns and EVCOM Industry Award for Excellence in Charity or Not-for-Profit. Winners are due to be announced in November 2018. It has also been entered into The Drum Content Awards and The Lovie Awards which are due to be announced later this year.
The Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards is an international festival dedicated to corporate films, online media and TV productions, and takes place every October in Cannes, France. It is often referred to as one of the most important festivals in the corporate film industry. This year, the international expert jury of the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards 2018 was presented a broad range of very creative and high-quality productions, turning this 9th edition into a highly competitive festival. Out of more than 1,000 entries the jury selected a total of 201 productions to be awarded with the coveted Dolphin Trophies.
