This will be our fourth year as a Transformative Partner for The Resource Alliance and we’re excited to be returning to IFC Holland in October. The theme this year is Time for Action, and will focus on the specific actions required within fundraising, strategy, communication, leadership, digital and scientific innovation to build a more just and thriving future.
Now in its 33rd year, the international congress gathers more than 1,000 fundraisers from 60 countries over 4 days of masterclasses, workshops and inspirational keynote speakers. We’ll be running a series of activities throughout the week – below are all the ways we’ll be involved this year. Be sure to say hello!
Catch our Learn at Lunch session on Thursday 13:00 – 13:45, where we’ll be sharing key insights from our latest benchmark report and playing some of the best examples of charity video to come out this year.
We’ll be running a Workshop on Friday 09:30 – 11:00, exploring the evolving agency / client relationship and whether things need to change to better empower the charities they serve. Formatted more like a forum for debate, this workshop will examine the evolving agency / client relationship and discuss what can be done to improve it. We’ll facilitate discussion on the ever-changing dynamics, problems with the process and potential innovations that could renew how charities work with agencies forever. This is a unique opportunity for you to have your say, share your own insights and feed into a new report we’ll be producing later in the year.
We’re looking to talk to marketing, brand and communications leaders about the challenges facing charity communications at the moment. We believe it’s more important than ever for charities to campaign and shout about their work or cause, and they should be leading movements, not playing catch up. So why are charities struggling to resonate? Is content the answer?
Your insights will feed into a new report due to launch later this year. If you’re interested in contributing, book a 15 minute slot to talk to us between sessions, or email ryan@raw.london.
We’ve dedicated 3 hours of our time at the conference to offer free advice clinics to anyone interested in video, content and communications campaigns. Book a free, 15-minute one-to-one session or email ryan@raw.london.
Our content team will be out and about throughout the conference capturing the atmosphere and interviewing delegates for Resource Alliance to share with fundraisers around the world. Follow along on their Facebook and Twitter and check out this year’s promo video below.
Helping organisations of every size and type develop the critical human, financial and intellectual resources necessary to build a better world, is at the heart of the Resource Alliance’s mission. However, only a fraction of those working in civil society globally can attend an IFC each year, due to budget, location or circumstance. IFC Pop Ups aims to take the world-class sessions in a virtual format to change-makers around the world.
IFC Pop Ups debuted in South Africa in 2016, repeating in 2017 and 2018 after receiving excellent approval ratings. In 2019, they have expanded to Singapore, Hong Kong and Kenya, with plans to deliver in Uganda, Ghana and Brazil next year.
As a result of Raw London’s support, the Resource Alliance now has an extensive library of video resource mobilisation learning sessions, delivered by many of the world’s leading experts in this field. The videos have been used in multiple countries reaching hundreds of people, who are able to take the learnings and directly apply them to their work.
We’re pleased to be continuing our support this year. If you’re interested in taking part or learning more, visit the Resource Alliance’s website.
The Big Room is the hub of insight and inspiration at IFC and this year we’re sponsoring it! Spot our branding on the screens and look out for our handouts.
