Raw London have been shortlisted for PR and Brand Storytelling at Marketing Week’s Masters of Marketing Awards 2018.
The project, Control, was produced for Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services (NDAS) in 2017 to change the way people see and understand emotional abuse. The campaign helped the small charity reach 1 million people on social media and has so far won 17 awards for effective brand communication and innovative content. It now competes with big brands such as LADbible, Plastic Oceans and Virgin Holidays who are also shortlisted in the category.
This is the first time Raw London have been shortlisted for these awards – the UK’s biggest celebration of marketing excellence covering everything from strategy through to execution.
Charlotte Harris, Marketing Director at Raw London says: “Control is a prime example of how great storytelling and well-placed PR can help a small charity achieve big things, even with no budget. We’re particularly proud of how far it’s come and it’s fantastic to be recognised on a platform such as this.”
Marketing Week editor Russell Parsons says: “The Masters celebrates the marketing and marketers that matter. There is some amazing work being done by marketers across the world that is innovative, effective and driving amazing returns. We will celebrate this on the evening of the awards and through our channels.”
Open to brands, agencies, in-house teams, designers, consultancies, PR firms, charities and any organisation who has delivered outstanding marketing, these awards are unique in their scope and prestige. Attracting hundreds of entries from the most respected brands and agencies in the industry, the Masters culminate in a glittering awards ceremony at Tobacco Dock on 9 October 2018, the night before the Festival of Marketing. You can see the full list of shortlisted entries here.
Raw London have also recently been nominated in 2 categories at the EVCOM Industry Awards, with winners also due to be announced in October 2018. The categories recognise the Most Effective Use of Film in Digital Campaigns and Excellence in Charity & Not for Profit. They also placed as a Finalist in the Content Marketing Awards 2018 with their #EscapeRobot campaign for War Child UK, the charity for children affected by conflict.
