We are pleased to announce our certification as a registered B Corporation!

This means we have met the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability, and join a growing group of companies who are reinventing business by pursuing purpose as well as profit.

Ryan Wilkins, Founder & CEO at Raw London, said; “We’ve been excited about this for ages as this purpose-driven standard represents our beliefs in social and environmental awareness and performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.”

The rigorous application process covers every part of the business and took almost 8 months to complete. Ryan explains; “It’s been a hugely enlightening and beneficial process, and has helped us look introspectively at every element of our business, including asking ourselves WHY we’re doing the things we’re doing and HOW our actions affect our team, our environment, community, our clients and the people that they serve.”

Why certify as a B Corp?

Since 2006, we have had purpose at the heart of our agency. We are committed to supporting organisations and brands that want to make a positive impact and have partnered with hundreds of non-profit organisations to support and promote their work across humanitarian, health, social and environmental issues.

Some of our initiatives include:

  • Working with hundreds of charities including Save the Children, British Red Cross, Crisis, Marie Curie, War Child, IDMC and IRC – to name a few.
  • Partnering with Climate Group to become the only official creative partner of Climate Week NYC. Run in coordination with the United Nations General Assembly and the City of New York, the week-long events program gathers global businesses, governments, academic institutions, arts organizations, individuals and non-profit organisations to showcase climate action.
  • Helping small charities raise awareness and much needed funds with our award-winning pro bono CSR initiative, which gives £15,000 worth of content strategy and production to a small charity each year. Most recently, this initiative is helping StreetDoctors reduce youth violence with their #ApplyPressure campaign
  • Partnering with PrideAM, YouTube and Gay Times to donate a £165k media prize to positively represent trans stories with Mermaids UK.
  • Winning multiple awards for social purpose and CSR, including 5 Golds at EVCOM Clarion Awards 2019 and Gold at The Drum Social Purpose Awards for 4 years in a row.
  • Making world-class resource mobilisation knowledge accessible to change-makers around the world through IFC Pop-Ups, in partnership with The Resource Alliance. As a result of our support, an extensive library of expert sessions from the International Fundraising Congress (IFC) have reached hundreds more people in Hong Kong, South Africa and Kenya.
  • Increasing the impact of third sector content and campaigns through our series of free quarterly events; Relay by Raw London. So far, Relay has empowered 40 charity marketers, fundraisers and content producers to pass on their experience and insight to more than 500 allies in the sector.

Our B Corp goals for the future

We’re very excited to join the global community of B Corps and help drive a global movement of people using business as a force for good. To maintain certification, companies must reassess and re-verify every three years, so we’re committed to maintaining B Corp certification in the long-term, not as a one-off achievement.
