In a nutshell, who are we looking for?

This is a varied and hands-on role for someone who enjoys autonomy in a small yet ambitious agency of 18. As the sole Marketing Manager, you’ll work with the Marketing Director to plan, deliver and report on all campaigns.

You’ll have a passion for B2B marketing and be excited about building the agency profile within new and existing target markets. You’ll especially love copywriting and content creation, with an interest in creating thought leadership campaigns. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills.

Ultimately, you’ll help to grow the agency brand profile, reputation and client roster through all stages of the marketing funnel. You don’t need experience in all these things – we can provide support and training. The most important thing is to bring a positive, ambitious and can-do attitude to the role!

  • Marketing Strategy: Work closely with the Marketing Director to create and deliver the overarching marketing strategy.
  • Client acquisition: Work closely with New Business and Accounts teams to develop and deliver B2B lead generation and nurture campaigns across key segments.
  • Content creation: Create and deliver a high quality content strategy, including copywriting useful, relevant and timely content (e.g. thought leadership articles, industry benchmark reports and eBooks).
  • Owned Events: Plan and manage our hybrid knowledge-share events (Relay), including sourcing speakers, managing venue hire, equipment, and promotion to attendees.
  • Partner Events: Manage our corporate event calendar, including building strong relationships with partners, booking sponsorship opportunities and creating marketing materials.
  • CRM / Hubspot: Maintain and improve our CRM system, including managing contact data, workflows and lead capture forms and measuring campaign ROI.
  • Email: Design and create our regular email newsletters, including producing high quality insight pieces, articles and case studies.
  • Website: Manage and update our WordPress website, including publishing content with SEO in mind (e.g. latest events, insights, case studies, landing pages and news articles).
  • PR: Promote the agency by seeking out PR opportunities, including owning our award strategy (i.e. researching and drafting entries).
  • Digital: Manage external agencies to run and report on Google Ads campaigns.
  • Social media: Work with our Social Media Manager to oversee the social media strategy.
  • Brand: Work with our internal teams to own and update the brand strategy, guidelines, visual identity and tone of voice.
  • Resources: Support the wider team by maintaining and updating our pitch deck and document templates.
  • Budget creation, tracking and reporting on ROI.

Experience / requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a marketing role.
  • A passion for or interest in B2B marketing.
  • Interest or experience in CSR, sustainability or brand-for-good campaigns a bonus.
  • Strong writing skills, comfortable in a range of styles, able to create, proof and edit copy for insight articles, ebooks, case studies and more.
  • Able to influence at all levels with strong communication skills
  • Adaptable and keen to work within an evolving organisation, confident when navigating changes in priorities.

Need to know

Location: Holborn, London (currently hybrid home/office working).
Contract: Full time
Commences: May/June 2022
Salary: £35k + annual bonus scheme
