For the third sector, taking risks with your content can help you stand out and connect with audiences on a whole new level.
But does it always pay off?
At this event, speakers from Macmillan, Amnesty International, Stand Up to Cancer and Breast Cancer Care will share a time they’ve taken a fresh approach to their video. From case studies to campaign films, they’ll share what sparked the change, how they got stakeholders on board and what they learned from the results.
The full agenda is as follows:
Raw London Ryan Wilkins, Founder & CEO Welcome and Introduction
Stand Up to Cancer Laura Morgan, Content Strategy Manager Our bold new approach to human storytelling
Amnesty International Amira Aleem, Social Media Coordinator Letting people tell their own stories
Macmillan Bob Cope, Senior Content Manager The risk of not taking risks
Breast Cancer Care Claudia Knowles, Digital Content Strategist How content can empower your users
Wonderland Creative Graeme Lipschitz, Co-Founder Communicating with Impact
The event will take place on Thursday 7 March 2019 from 16:15 – 19:00 at Cinema Club, Courthouse Hotel, Great Marlborough Street, London, W1F 7HL.
This is a great opportunity to get inspired by your peers, and especially valuable for senior content, marketing and social media managers working in the third sector. You’ll walk away with practical advice for your next campaign and bags of inspiration for approaching your content differently in 2019.
**Update – please note this event is full, but you can email yasmina@raw.london to be added to the waiting list or sign up here to hear about future events.**
Relay is the name of our series of events run exclusively for senior marketers, social media managers and content producers in the third sector. The aim is to help charities get the best possible results from their content by encouraging peers to pass on their experiences and insight.
Over the past 2 years we’ve been joined by some incredible speakers from organisations such as RNLI, Cancer Research UK, WaterAid, NSPCC and British Heart Foundation, as well as special guests from Channel 4, YouTube Spaces and Google.
Each speaker has just 15 minutes to present a lightning talk around a specific theme – from storytelling to content strategy to campaigns. Taking place in a cinema screening room, it’s a great opportunity to see charity content on the big screen. You also get the chance to learn about the ideas, processes and results behind the content, and ask your burning content-related questions to the creators themselves.
We’re proud to have received consistently positive feedback with 100% of attendees saying they would recommend the event to their colleagues. This has truly been a community event so thank you to everyone for being involved. We look forward to seeing you there!
Spaces tend to fill up quickly so sign up on our mailing list to be among the first to hear.
For this reason, we offer up to 3 spaces per organisation – but please do get in touch if you would like more and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
If you’d like to share your experience working with content in the charity sector, or if you would like to sponsor an event, please contact Ryan at ryan@raw.london.
