Judges described this film as “Very moving and powerful – a film that stays with you long after you have finished watching it.” It’s intended to be a difficult watch, in order to communicate why Dignity in Dying need to exist and why they campaign for a change in the law around assisted dying in the UK. The film reached 250,000 people overnight and sparked important on and offline debate. Most importantly, however, it drew attention to a new research report released by Dignity in Dying, and encouraged meaningful discussion on both sides.
Our Covid-19 emergency appeal for British Red Cross, A Call for Help, won Silver for Innovation. This is a completely new category for 2020, created to recognise the evolving normal of filmmaking, and celebrates submissions that were made in response to Covid-19, or dealt with demonstrable practical restrictions.
We created and launched this campaign just weeks into national lockdown, using an innovative combination of archive and stock footage, user-generated and mobile phone content (within the strictest government guidelines) to build a rich, emotive and relatable story around one beneficiary’s phone call.
Our DRTV campaign for Save the Children, shot last year in Northern Kenya, was awarded Bronze in the Cinematography category. The stunning film was the first time Save the Children’s new brand strategy was applied to DRTV, and we worked across individual giving, acquisition, brand and digital teams to bring children’s voices front and centre.
Our hugely successful NHS campaign, One career, endless opportunities. #ChooseGP, was also shortlisted in the Recruitment and Induction category. The insight-led campaign has exceeded ambitious government targets for 3 years in a row, attracting more doctors to apply for GP training than ever before. When lockdown hit, we created a series of short animations to highlight the incredible diversity a GP career can offer. Check them out below:
Congratulations to all of our clients at Save the Children, British Red Cross, Dignity in Dying and Health Education England, and a huge thank you to the judges.
