Global temperatures are rising at an alarming rate. So, we’ve created a social media campaign for Ben & Jerry’s called #MeltDay. The annual participation event challenges global audiences to place a scoop of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream outside on the same day at the same time. Audiences time how long it takes for it to melt, with results recorded and shared online to raise awareness of rising global temperatures.
Additionally, to mark the event, Ben & Jerry’s new limited-edition ice cream flavour, ‘Totally Baked’, is placed on the shelves, with proceeds going to climate charities.
With 23 species declared extinct in 2021, how much longer will WWF need to exist? This re-imagining of the WWF logo highlights the disastrous rates of extinction around the world. The iconic panda is reduced to a skeleton, disappearing into history to represent both the lost and endangered species and, ultimately, the fate of WWF itself.
6,500 migrants have died in Qatar since it was named the Fifa World Cup host. Yet, tragically, no one is talking about it. So, we’ve reimagined the Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022 logo to bring the dark truth to the forefront – and encourage people to pay attention to the blood that’s been spilled.
This ad for WWF plays on the viral online game, Wordle, to highlight the increasing number of endangered species going extinct. The twist? The user’s final guess prompts the error message, ‘Not in word list’. It highlights that, with drastically declining rhino numbers, the word may no longer exist in our vocabulary – and the fate of the others may not be far behind.
The Drum Chip Shop Awards 2022 attract some of the best talent around. As a result, the competition offers a unique, open platform for creatives of all levels to compete across 30 categories. In fact, there are no rules.
The judging panel is made up of creatives from some of the nation’s best agencies. For example, this includes Tom Kennedy, Creative Director at M&C Saatchi and Harpreet Bushell, Group Chief Growth Officer at LAB Group.
Last year, we won Best Ad from the Future for LEGO with our LEGO Landmarks concept. The concept imagines LEGO’s new collection, featuring famous brick landmarks submerged underwater to raise awareness of rising sea levels.
The winners will be announced at The Drum Chip Shop Awards Live Show on Wednesday, June 22 at 6.30pm BST.
