We partnered with Whale & Dolphin Conservation (WDC) to turn pioneering research into a bold new fundraising product, proposition and hero campaign - ultimately transforming how we protect our mightiest ally in the fight against climate change.

Challenge

WDC proved whales are like giant swimming Amazons - contributing to as much carbon capture as all the rainforests on land.

But, though people generally care about whales, climate anxiety compounds a sense of hopelessness that holds supporters back.

Save the Whale, Save the World repositions whales from victims of the past to climate allies of the future - bridging the gap between wildlife conservation and climate action.

Activation

We chose COP26 as the backdrop for the campaign, standing out with a message of hope and avoiding traditional themes of green and plastic. Instead, the film is direct, urgent and powerful, appealing directly to the viewer with a stark warning about our future.
