Campaign COVID: What we can learn from 2020’s best charity campaigns

Best charity campaigns 2020

On Thursday 12 November, we were joined by speakers from Barnardo’s, Teenage Cancer Trust and Studio Republic to discuss some of our favourite charity campaigns of 2020 so far.

The third sector has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic – but we’ve also seen a huge level of determination and innovation from within the sector. Many charities have ramped up creativity and digital integration across their communications, delivering impressive campaigns and engaging audiences in new and unique ways.

Our latest Relay event invited speakers behind some of the biggest charity campaigns of 2020; the hugely successful 2.6 challenge, Barnardo’s #BelieveinMe and Teenage Cancer Trust’s Best to Check campaign.

In true Relay style, each speaker had 15 minutes to share fascinating insight from their own campaigns, including the biggest challenges and their own key learnings.

You can watch the webinar in its entirety below – a huge thank you to Esme Jones, Head of Marketing at Barnardo’s, Charles Williams, Head of Brand & Content at Teenage Cancer Trust, and Fleurie Amorette Forbes-Martin, Business Growth Director at Studio Republic.

Join the community

We launched Relay 3 years ago to connect and support marketing, content and fundraising managers in the charity sector. The concept is simple: come along, share your insights, learn and grow together. We’re proud to say Relay now brings together hundreds of people each quarter, with 100% positive feedback.

Since we can’t meet in person for the foreseeable future, many of you have suggested setting up a dedicated forum to connect attendees and speakers before and after each virtual Relay event. Join our brand new LinkedIn group here!

You can also find other ways to get involved over at our Relay hub. Here you can register for future events, volunteer to speak, or watch recordings and read insights from past events. You can also get in touch with Charlotte direct at charlotte@raw.london.
