Fauna & Flora International has been protecting nature for over 120 years. But despite its incredible history, the brand is still relatively unknown. So, we developed a new creative platform that repositions their work, connects with new supporters, and provides a flexible, long-term golden thread across their comms: Where Wisdom Meets Wonder.

INSIGHT

Insight showed that the interconnectedness of conservation is really motivating for audiences, particularly the idea that small actions can make a big difference for people and planet.

But, delving into this more, we also found that core audience groups had quite different reasons behind this. While some audiences were driven by imagining a more holistic and connected planet, others believed in the scientific knowledge improving conservation.

These emotional and rational values mirror Fauna & Flora’s own brand identity: both rich in scientific heritage, and endlessly curious and innovative in its approach.

SOLUTION

Where Wisdom Meets Wonder is a creative platform that brings the audience and the brand’s values together. It’s a flexible space that highlights both sides of the brand; Wisdom captures Fauna & Flora’s heritage, people-first conservation, and deep-rooted knowledge, while Wonder evokes awe, hope and curiosity – a chance to see the world differently.

Together, they create a flexible creative space for teams, audiences and channels. It’s not a rigid funnel – it’s a mindset. One that positions Fauna & Flora as the charity that brings people, projects and planet together in a way that only they can.

OUTCOMES

The platform was developed and rolled out in close collaboration with Fauna & Flora’s internal teams, through multiple co-creation workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.

As a result, the first campaign activation, The Extraordinary Everything, encourages audiences to look closer and see the extraordinary in the parts of nature you might otherwise overlook. From the pangolin’s vital role as a forest guardian, to the nurturing impact of a snail on the plants and earth around them.

The campaign launched across OOH and digital channels in February 2025, alongside an ongoing supporter journey that invites audiences to discover their own unique role in conservation, developed by the Fauna & Flora team.

The minute we saw ‘Where Wisdom Meets Wonder’, we knew RAW had not only understood us as a brand, but our audiences too. The collaboration with our teams throughout means we’re now in a really exciting position to keep rolling out the creative platform across the organisation. We absolutely love the result!
